About this course
BSc in Biological Sciences with Language for Science, a biology and french and francophone studies degree centred on the study of living systems from cellular to ecosystem levels. The course includes a year spent at an approved university in France, Germany, or Spain, alongside a final-year extensive research project. Students take part in laboratory, computational, and field work, and complete a dedicated life science skills programme covering quantitative techniques, statistics, and programming. The curriculum incorporates options to specialise in areas such as molecular biology, ecology, and stem cells, while the language component covers translation theory alongside the history, politics, science, and technology of the chosen country.
