About this course
BSc in Chemistry with Management, a chemistry and business and management degree centred on chemical science combined with commercial management training. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Research Methods, Accounting, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Entrepreneurship. The fourth year is spent studying business and management disciplines at a dedicated business school. The first year covers foundational chemical theory and practice through Language of Chemistry, Structure and Bonding: Atomic Structure to Molecular Orbitals, Introduction to Spectroscopy, and The Reaction Toolkit: Thermodynamics and Kinetics. The second year expands into broader systems via Electronic States and Bonding, Analysis of Molecules, Materials and Mixtures, Solids, Liquids and Interfaces, and Control and Selectivity in Molecular Synthesis. The third year involves advanced chemistry topics alongside Practical Chemistry 3 for BSc Chemistry and an independent research project. The final year focuses entirely on management studies through Accounting, Business Economics, Global Strategy, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, Marketing, Innovation Management, Finance and Financial Management, Sustainable Business, Entrepreneurship, and Research Methods and Practice.
