About this course

BSc in Economics, Finance and Data Science, a business and management degree centred on economic theory combined with quantitative methods. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Financial Analysis, Accounting, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Applicants must sit the Test of University Admissions (TMUA) as part of the application process. The first year covers core foundations through Mathematical Foundations Probability & Statistics, Introduction to Data Science, and Microeconomics 1. The second year introduces more advanced concepts with Microeconomics 2, Econometrics 1, Machine Learning, and Corporate Finance and Capital Markets. The final year focuses on independent research through the Final Project: Questions and Methods and Final Project: Report, alongside breadth options from other departments via I-Explore. Students can further tailor their studies in the final year by selecting from a range of electives such as Advanced Machine Learning, Advanced Macroeconomics, and Derivatives and Structured Products.
