About this course

MEng in Mathematics and Computer Science for Artificial Intelligence, a mathematics and computer science for artificial intelligence degree focused on quantitative foundations, computational methods, and engineering practices. Core topics include Programming, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students can complete an industrial placement year during the third year of the programme and undertake an individual MEng project in later stages. The first year covers core theory and practical foundations through compulsory modules such as Principled Programming, Introduction to University Mathematics, Analysis, and Probability and Statistics. Students also study Logic and Reasoning, Calculus and Applications, Linear Algebra and Groups, Graphs and Algorithms, and Machine Learning in Action. Later years include scores of elective choices spanning higher mathematics and advanced computer science.
