Entry requirements
Qualifications needed for 2027: BEng (Hons): 112-128 UCAS tariff points At least three A-levels, including Mathematics and a science subject. Or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, such as a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering or a related subject, such as Aerospace / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronic / Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (grades DMM) with all Maths modules passed. Alternatively, an Access Course in a relevant Engineering subject, which has been passed with all Level 3 Maths and Physics units passed (112 UCAS points), will be considered. Applications from those that have undertaken an Engineering foundation year will also be considered. MEng: 128-144 UCAS tariff points At least three A-levels, including Mathematics and two science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Further Maths). Or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, such as a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering or a related subject, such as Aerospace / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronic / Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (grades DDM) with all Maths modules passed. Alternatively, an Access Course in a relevant Engineering subject, which has been passed with all Level 3 Maths and Physics units passed (128 UCAS points), will be considered. Applications from those that have undertaken an Engineering foundation year will also be considered. BEng (Hons) including foundation year: 64 UCAS tariff points A minimum of 64 UCAS points from A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications is required. Additional requirements: Entry onto this course does not require an interview, entrance test, audition or portfolio. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. If you do not meet our English language requirements , you may be eligible for Kingston University's pre-sessional English language course. About this course
BEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering. Core topics include Programming, Mathematical Modelling, Engineering Design, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme includes a group design project aligned with external competitions such as the RAeS Design, Build and Fly competition. An optional industrial placement year is available.
