Entry requirements
Qualifications needed for 2027: BSc (Hons): 112-128 UCAS tariff points At least two A-levels, including Biology or Biological Science at grade C or above, or equivalent Level 3 qualifications. Alternatively, a BTEC Extended Diploma in an appropriate science subject with grades Distinction, Merit, Merit to Distinction, Distinction, Merit (DMM - DDM). GCSE Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or a recognised equivalent, is also required. Alternatively, we will consider a range of Level 3 qualifications, such as an Access Course in a relevant science subject (e.g. Biology, Science, Medicine or Medical and Biosciences). This will need to have been passed with 112 UCAS points, with a minimum of 21 Level 3 credits in Biology and/or Chemistry at a Merit grade. Applications from those who have undertaken a Science foundation year will also be considered. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. If you do not meet our English language requirements, you may be eligible for Kingston University's pre-sessional English language course. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences. Core topics include Data Analysis, Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Clinical Skills, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. Students choose to specialise in Medical Biology or Molecular Biology at the end of Year 1. An independent project in the final year may be laboratory-based, a data project, or a systematic review of research literature.
