Entry requirements
Qualifications needed for 2027: UCAS tariff points: 128-136 A-levels, including A2 Mathematics. Alternatively, an engineering-related BTEC National Extended Diploma: Distinction, Distinction, Merit (DDM), including Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Or a T-level in Engineering or a related subject with an overall grade of D. Alternatively, an Access Course in a relevant Engineering subject, which has been passed with all Level 3 Maths and Physics units passed (128 UCAS points) will be considered. Direct entry to Level 5 of the MEng is not normally permitted. Additional requirements: Entry onto this course does not require an interview, entrance test, audition or portfolio. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. If you do not meet our English language requirements , you may be eligible for Kingston University's pre-sessional English language course. Check out our English Language Programme page for more details. If you’re applying from a recognised majority English-speaking country (MESC), you won’t need to meet the requirements. About this course
MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering, covering the design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure. Core topics include Mathematical Modelling, Structural Analysis and Design, Geotechnics, Hydraulics, Project Management, and Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling. The course includes an optional professional placement year and culminates in a group Integrated Design Project and an individual research project supervised by academic staff.
