Entry requirements
Qualifications needed for 2027: BSc (Hons): 112-128 UCAS tariff points A-levels, a BTEC National Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit (DMM), or a BTEC National Diploma (D*D*) in a computing, science, engineering or mathematics subject area. Applications from those that have undertaken a foundation year in Computing will be considered. We will also consider a range of alternative Level 3 qualifications, such as an Access Course in a relevant Science, Computing, Maths or Engineering subject, which has been passed with 112 UCAS points. BSc (Hons) including foundation year: 64 UCAS tariff points For the degree with a foundation year, a minimum of 64 UCAS points from A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications is required. Additional requirements: Entry onto this course does not require an interview, entrance test, audition or portfolio. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. If you do not meet our English language requirements , you may be eligible for Kingston University's pre-sessional English language course. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. An optional industrial placement year is available on the sandwich route, and the course concludes with an individual project. Guest lectures and workshops are delivered by industry practitioners from organisations including Google and IBM.
