Entry requirements

Qualifications needed for 2027: BEng (Hons): 112-128 UCAS tariff points At least three A-levels, including Mathematics and a science subject. Or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, such as a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering or a related subject, such as Aerospace / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronic / Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (grades DMM). Alternatively, an Access Course in a relevant Engineering subject, which has been passed with all Maths and Physics units passed at Level 3 (112 UCAS points), will be considered. Applications from those that have undertaken an Engineering foundation year will also be considered. MEng: 128-144 UCAS tariff points At least three A-levels, including Mathematics and two science subjects. Or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, such as a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering or a related subject, such as Aerospace / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronic / Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (grades DDM). Alternatively, an Access Course in a relevant Engineering subject, which has been passed with all Maths and Physics units passed at Level 3 (128 UCAS points), will be considered. Applications from those that have undertaken an Engineering foundation year will also be considered. BEng (Hons) including foundation year: 64 UCAS tariff points A minimum of 64 UCAS points from A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications is required. Additional requirements: Entry onto this course does not require an interview, entrance test, audition or portfolio. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. If you do not meet our English language requirements , you may be eligible for Kingston University's pre-sessional English language course. About this course

BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, covering the design, analysis, and manufacture of mechanical systems. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Engineering Design, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme offers an Automotive Engineering pathway and includes an individual final-year project. Students can participate in Formula Student through the university's motorsport team.
