Entry requirements

Qualifications needed for 2027: BA (Hons): 120-136 UCAS tariff points Level 3 qualifications, not including General Studies (A-levels, BTEC Diploma, Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, Access Diploma, IB Diploma, etc.). Entry on to this course does not require an interview, entrance test, audition or portfolio. English language: All non-UK applicants must meet our English Language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with 5.5 in all elements. Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements could be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course. Applicants from a recognised majority English speaking country (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements. About this course

BA (Hons) in Film Studies, combining critical analysis with practical media production. Core topics include Research Methods, Design & Creative Practice, and Project Management. The degree includes a final-year independent project where students produce a practical output such as a documentary, podcast series, or media product alongside a critical rationale.
