Entry requirements
Qualifications needed for 2027 BSc (Hons): 112-128 UCAS tariff points A-levels, including Chemistry with a minimum of Grade C. Alternatively, a BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science (Chemistry) with merits in the following units: Or a Merit in T-Level science, including a minimum of a B in the Core component and a merit in the Occupational Specialism, either in laboratory sciences or metrology sciences. GCSE Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, or a recognised equivalent, is also required. Alternatively, we will consider a range of Level 3 qualifications, such as an Access Course in a relevant science subject. This will need to have been passed with 112 UCAS points, including 15 level 3 credits in Chemistry, with minimum of 9 L3 credits at Distinction and 6 L3 credits at Merit, and 15 level 3 credits in Biology at Merit. Applications from those who have undertaken a Science foundation year will also be considered. English language: English language requirement for this course: Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and Pharmacy, combining pharmaceutical chemistry, biosciences, and drug development. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Ethics & Professional Practice. The final year includes a research project with options for laboratory work, data analysis, or systematic review. Practical training uses software packages including Chemdraw and SciFinder.
