About this course

BSc Hons in Accounting and Finance (Industry), an undergraduate degree centred on accounting and finance. Core topics include Programming, Control Systems, Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Marketing, Legal Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Human Behaviour. This four-year degree includes a dedicated third-year industry placement module allowing students to apply academic learning in a graduate-level professional role. The first year covers core foundations through Quantitative Methods, Foundations of Accounting, Foundations of Economics, Data Analytics for Accounting and Finance, Foundations of Financial Markets, Securities and Institutions, and Professional Development for Accounting and Finance. The second year builds competence with Principles of Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting, Management Accounting and Information Systems, and Professional Development and Experiential Learning, alongside optional modules such as Business Law, Financial Markets, Foundations of Asset Pricing, and Auditing and Control/Accountability. The final fourth year delivers advanced study through Advanced Financial and Sustainability Reporting, Contemporary Issues in Accounting and Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Strategic Management Accounting.
