A level: AAB. This should include Biology and one other science subject from: Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics. IB: 35 points overall with 16 points from the best 3 HL subjects including 6 in HL Biology and 6 in one further HL science subjects from Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics
About this course
BSc Hons in Biomedical Science (Study Abroad), a biomedical science degree centred on disease diagnosis, human life processes, and modern medical advancements. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This four-year course is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science and includes a third year spent studying at an approved international partner university. The first year establishes core knowledge through modules such as Anatomy and Physiology, Foundations of Biomedical Science, and Introduction to Biosciences, alongside genetics and microbiology study. The second year advances into specialized laboratory disciplines through modules including Cellular Pathology and Medical Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion Science, and Molecular Genetics. The final fourth year focuses on advanced biomedical topics through modules such as Cancer Biology and Therapeutics, Global Health Challenges, and Medical Genetics and Clinical Immunology, alongside an independent Biosciences Research Project.
