About this course

BSc Hons in Biomedicine, a biomedical science degree centred on human health, disease, and medical research. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Psychological Assessment, Clinical Skills, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Human Behaviour, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This three-year undergraduate course includes a final-year research project and practical classes held in life science teaching laboratories. The first year introduces foundational subjects through compulsory modules such as Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics and Biotechnology, and Introduction to Biosciences, alongside optional modules like Foundations of Biomedical Science. The second year focuses on cellular and molecular processes with compulsory modules including Biochemistry of Cellular Metabolism, Cell and Developmental Biology, and Molecular Genetics, plus optional choices such as Drug Design and Development.
