About this course
BSc Hons in Business Economics (Industry), an economics degree centred on mathematical and computational approaches to economic theory and market dynamics. Core topics include Data Analysis, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Policy Analysis, Mathematical Modelling, and Human Behaviour. This four-year course includes an integrated professional placement year in the third year, enabling students to gain graduate-level work experience. The first year covers core theory through Foundations of Microeconomics, Foundations of Macroeconomics, Quantitative Methods for Economics, and Professional Development for Economics. Optional modules in the first year include Foundations of Accounting and Principles of Marketing.
