About this course
BSc Hons in Computer Science (Study Abroad), a computer science degree exploring software development, systems, and international study. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Design & Creative Practice. Students spend the third year studying abroad at an approved international partner university. The first year covers the foundations through Designing Software Systems, Digital Systems, Fundamentals of Computer Science, and Software Development. Year 2 advances into practical collaboration via Computer Science Group Project, HCI: Designing for People, Networks and Systems, and Secure Data and Systems. Year 3 consists entirely of the Study Abroad placement. The final year centres on an independent piece of work through Third Year Project (Computer Science), alongside advanced optional studies. Optional modules across the degree span topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision.
