About this course
BSc Hons in Cyber Security, a computer science degree focused on the theoretical and practical safeguards required to protect modern digital systems, networks, and data infrastructure. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Design & Creative Practice. The first year establishes core computing concepts through modules like Designing Software Systems, Digital Systems, Fundamentals of Computer Science, and Software Development. Second-year studies advance into specialized security methodologies through modules including Cyber Security Group Project, HCI: Designing for People, Networks and Systems, Secure Data and Systems, and Applied Security Methods. The final year involves advanced technical study and an independent research investigation via Secure Artificial Intelligence, Secure Cyber Physical Systems, Secure Distributed Systems, and Third Year Project (Cyber Security).
