About this course

BSc Hons in Earth and Environmental Science (Study Abroad), an environmental science and Earth and environmental sciences degree centred on geological, climatic, and ecological processes shaping the planet. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Environmental Analysis, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The four-year programme includes a dedicated third year spent studying abroad at an approved international partner university. The first year covers core subjects through Atmosphere, Weather and Climate, Biodiversity and Global Change, and Geology. The second year builds competence with Environmental Data Analysis and Visualisation, Environmental Field Skills, and Geologic Mapping, alongside optional choices such as Atmospheric Science and Soil Science. In the final year, students complete an independent Dissertation alongside advanced core study in Environmental Geophysics, complemented by optional modules including Climate Change, Geological Hazards, and Volcanic Processes Field Course.
