About this course

BSc Hons in Economics and Finance (Study Abroad), an economics and accounting and finance degree centred on the intersection of economic theory, financial markets, and quantitative techniques. Core topics include Financial Analysis, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analysis, Policy Analysis, and Mathematical Modelling. Students spend their third year studying abroad at an exchange partner institution. The first year covers core subjects through Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Foundations of Accounting, and Mathematics and Statistics for Economics. In the second year, students build on these foundations with modules such as Macroeconomic Analysis, Microeconomic Analysis, Principles of Corporate Finance, and Principles of Econometrics with Professional Development. Optional choices in the second year include Financial Time Series Analysis and Foundations of Asset Pricing. The fourth year features advanced modules like Frontiers of Economics, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Global Macroeconomics and Policy, alongside optional choices such as Econometrics and Data Science in Economics, International Trade and Business, and Fintech and Market Microstructure.
