About this course
BA Hons in Economics, an economics degree centred on quantitative and analytical approaches to market behavior and public policy. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Policy Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The curriculum combines core economic theory with insights from other social sciences such as politics and international relations. The first year covers the foundations through Foundations of Macroeconomics, Foundations of Microeconomics, Quantitative Methods for Economics, and Professional Development for Economics. The second year progresses with Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Foundations of Econometrics with Professional Development, and optional choices such as Economic Inequality or Games and Strategic Behaviour. The final year features Current Issues in Economics alongside optional modules covering areas like Behavioural Economics, Econometrics and Data Science in Economics, and International Trade and Business.
