About this course

BA Hons in Economics (Study Abroad), an economics degree centred on quantitative and policy-driven approaches to economic theory. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Policy Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The third year is spent studying abroad at an exchange partner institution. The first year covers the foundations through Foundations of Macroeconomics, Foundations of Microeconomics, Global Challenges in World Politics, and Quantitative Methods for Economics. The second year progresses with Foundations of Econometrics with Professional Development, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, and optional modules such as Communicating using Economic Data, Economic Inequality, Environmental Economics, and Games and Strategic Behaviour. The third year involves studying abroad.
