A level: AAB. This should include Mathematics. IB: 35 points overall with 16 points from the best 3 HL subjects, including 6 in Mathematics HL (either analysis and approaches or applications and interpretations)
About this course
BSc Hons in Economics (Study Abroad), an economics degree focused on quantitative training, economic theory, and analytical problem-solving. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Policy Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Human Behaviour, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The third year of the programme is spent studying abroad at an exchange partner institution. The first year covers fundamental economic principles through Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Mathematics and Statistics for Economics. Students can also choose optional subjects such as Computing for Business Decision Making and Foundations of Accounting. The second year advances quantitative and analytical capabilities with Microeconomic Analysis, Principles of Econometrics with Professional Development, and Macroeconomic Analysis, alongside options like Economic Inequality and Environmental Economics. The fourth year concludes the degree with advanced study including Frontiers of Economics, with further options spanning Global Macroeconomics and Policy, Public Policy Analysis, Econometrics and Data Science in Economics, and Advanced Machine Learning for Data Mining.
