About this course

BEng Hons in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on the design, development and testing of modern electronic and electrical systems. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Entrepreneurship. The first year is shared across all engineering programmes, providing a broad foundation before specialisation begins in the second year, and concludes with an individual project in the final year. The first year covers the foundations through Applied Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Skills, Engineering Systems, Engineering Thermofluids, and Fundamental Engineering Mathematics. The second year shifts focus to specialized engineering principles through Control and Robotics, Digital Electronics and Software, Electrical Circuits and Analogue Electronics, Electromagnetism and Communications, Electronics Materials and Manufacturing, and Power Engineering. The final year involves advanced studies and practical applications supported by Digital Signal Processing, Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship, High Frequency Circuit Engineering and Communications, Individual Project, and Power Electronics and Applications.
