About this course
BEng Hons in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Study Abroad), an electrical and electronic engineering degree focused on the design and application of modern electrical systems. Core topics include Programming, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Project Management, and Entrepreneurship. The four-year programme features a shared general engineering foundation in the first year, specialisation from the second year, an international study year spent at an approved partner university during the third year, and a substantial individual project in the final year. The first year covers core engineering principles through modules such as Applied Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Skills, Engineering Systems, Engineering Thermofluids, and Fundamental Engineering Mathematics. Year 2 introduces specialist concepts via Control and Robotics, Digital Electronics and Software, Electrical Circuits and Analogue Electronics, Electromagnetism and Communications, Electronics Materials and Manufacturing, and Power Engineering. The third year consists entirely of the Study Abroad module at an international partner institution. The final year deepens advanced technical knowledge through Digital Signal Processing, Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship, High Frequency Circuit Engineering and Communications, Individual Project, and Power Electronics and Applications.
