About this course

BEng Hons in Engineering (Study Abroad), an engineering degree focused on broad foundational principles before specialisation. Core topics include Programming, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, and Mathematical Modelling. The four-year programme features a shared first year with all engineering students, a third year spent studying abroad at an approved international partner university, and a dissertation in the final year. The first year covers foundational principles through Applied Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Skills, Engineering Systems, Engineering Thermofluids, and Fundamental Engineering Mathematics. In the second and final years, students undertake modules specific to their chosen specialism and complete a dissertation. Year 3 consists of the Study Abroad module, allowing students to experience an overseas academic environment.
