About this course

BA Hons in Fine Art (Study Abroad), a fine art degree centred on contemporary art practices and theory. Core topics include Research Methods, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Design & Creative Practice, Global & Comparative Perspective. Students spend the third year studying abroad at an international partner university and complete a final-year exhibition of practical work. The first year covers foundations through Contemporary Art Practices, Creative Attention, and Art Histories and Contexts. The second year builds on this with Expanded Art Practices, Art Theories and Contexts, and Creative Transformations. Optional modules across the course allow students to explore areas such as film theory, media, digital cultures, and writing. The final year centres on Advanced Art Practices and Writing for the Arts, culminating in a professional body of practical work for a degree show.
