About this course

BA Hons in Geography (Study Abroad), a geography degree situated in the field of Geography. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Environmental Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, and Design & Creative Practice. The third year is spent studying abroad at an approved international partner university, and the final year includes an independent research dissertation. The first year covers core foundations through Foundation Skills for LEC, Global Human Geography, Introducing Research in Geography, Reading the Landscape, and Society and Place. The second year focuses on Geographical Data Science alongside optional modules spanning atmospheric science, ecology, and political geography. In the final year, students complete a dissertation alongside optional modules addressing contemporary challenges in urban areas, environmental management, and sustainability. Optional choices across the course allow study in areas such as climate science, biodiversity, conservation, and policy analysis.
