About this course

BA Hons in Human Geography (Study Abroad), a geography degree examining the spatial relationships between human societies and their environments. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, and Design & Creative Practice. Students spend the third year studying abroad at an approved international partner institution and complete an independent research dissertation in the final year. The first year introduces core geographical concepts through Foundation Skills for LEC, Global Human Geography, Introducing Research in Geography, and Society and Place. The second year advances spatial investigations with Cultural and Social Geography, Geographical Data Science, Geography, Development and the Majority World, Human Geography in Practice, and Political and Economic Geography. The final year centres on the Dissertation module alongside optional modules addressing contemporary urban, environmental, and health challenges.
