LLB Hons in Law (Placement Year), a law degree centred on legal analysis and professional practice within the legal sector. Core topics include Research Methods, Legal Analysis, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a dedicated work-based placement year in industry and utilise a purpose-built mock courtroom for practical training. The first year establishes legal foundations through modules such as Legal Systems and Sources, Contract Law, Skills, Ethics and Professional Practice, and Criminal Law. The second year introduces core civil obligations alongside a wide selection of optional study areas, including Business Law and Practice, European Union Law, Family Law, and International Law. The third year consists of a professional work-based placement in a graduate-level role. The final year focuses on advanced legal topics such as Equity and Trusts Law, alongside optional modules like Company Law, Environmental Law, and Immigration and Asylum Law, with an optional Law Dissertation available.
