About this course

LLB Hons in Law (Study Abroad), a law degree centred on legal study with an international placement year. Core topics include Research Methods, Legal Analysis, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The facilities include a purpose-built mock courtroom for practical advocacy training. The first year covers core legal foundations through Legal Systems and Sources, Contract Law, Skills, Ethics and Professional Practice, Legal Systems and Justice, Criminal Law, and Public Law. The second year addresses civil wrongs and property through Tort Law and Land Law, alongside optional modules covering areas such as Business Law and Practice, European Union Law, Family Law, International Law, Mediation and Conflict Resolution, Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Commercial Law, Employment Law, Financial Crime, Human Rights and Civil Liberties, International Law on Force, Territory and Human Rights, Law and Young People, Legal Tech and Innovation, Cybercrime and Cybercriminality, and Organised Crime. The third year consists of an international study abroad placement at a partner institution. The final year includes Equity and Trusts Law as a core requirement, alongside optional choices such as Law Dissertation, Company Law, Environmental Law, Immigration and Asylum Law, Inheritance Law, Healthcare Law and Ethics, Contemporary Issues in Corporate Governance, Evidence, Intellectual Property Law and Policy, Human Rights, Mass Atrocities and Transitional Justice, Sex Crimes and Sexual Offending, Street Law, Green Criminology, Drugs, Crime and Society, and Queer Futures (Discovery module).
