About this course
LLB Hons in Law with Politics (Study Abroad) is an undergraduate degree in the Politics and International Relations and Law subject area combining legal studies with political analysis. Core topics include Legal Analysis, Policy Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Communication & Writing, Global & Comparative Perspective, Ethics & Professional Practice. Facilities include a purpose-built mock court room. The first year covers core subjects such as Legal Systems and Sources, Legal Systems and Justice, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, and Parties, Populism and Protest. The second year introduces modules including Tort Law, Land Law, Theories of Power and the State, and Understanding Political Research, alongside optional studies in areas such as Legal Tech and Innovation, Financial Crime, and Human Rights and Civil Liberties. The third year consists of an international study abroad period. The final year includes compulsory modules in Equity and Trusts Law, alongside diverse optional modules covering topics such as Healthcare Law and Ethics, International Law, Intellectual Property Law and Policy, and a Law Dissertation.
