About this course
BSc Hons in Mathematics, a mathematics degree centred on fundamental mathematical methods, structures, and applications across science and technology. Core topics include Programming, Signal Processing, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Accounting, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Human Behaviour, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The three-year curriculum starts with foundational compulsory modules such as Logic and Discrete Mathematics, Symmetry and Sequences, Matrices and Calculus, and Probability and Statistics, alongside a selection of optional subjects. The second year advances core knowledge through Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Multivariate Probability and Statistics, and Project Skills, supported by additional optional study. In the final year, students tailor their degree by choosing six optional modules covering specialized areas like Commutative Algebra, Mathematical Cryptography, Medical Statistics, and Stochastic Processes.
