About this course

BEng Hons in Mechatronic Engineering, an engineering and robotics engineering degree focusing on the integration of mechanical, electronic, and computer systems. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Circuit Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Microelectronics, Control Systems, and Mathematical Modelling. The first year is shared across all engineering programmes, establishing foundational knowledge before specialisation begins in the second year. The first year covers fundamental concepts through Applied Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, and Engineering Systems. The second year introduces specialized study with compulsory modules such as Control and Robotics, Digital Electronics and Software, and Electrical Circuits and Analogue Electronics. The final year advances technical knowledge through Mechatronic Systems and Automation, Dynamic Systems, and Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship. Students can also choose optional modules including Digital Signal Processing and Power Electronics and Applications, and complete an Individual Project.
