About this course

BSc Hons in Pharmaceutical Science (Study Abroad), a pharmacology degree exploring drug design, synthesis, and molecular mechanisms in healthcare. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The four-year course includes a third year spent studying abroad at an approved international partner university and culminates in a bioscience research project in the final year. The first year establishes fundamental concepts through modules such as Foundations of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Science, Fundamentals of Chemistry A, and Molecules to Cells. The second year progresses to advanced chemical and biological principles with Drug Design and Development, Organic Chemistry, and Pharmacology. After the international study year, the final year covers complex topics via Advanced Drug Design and Development, Global Health Challenges, and Biosciences Research Project. Optional modules in the final year include Medicinal and Biological Applications of Organic Chemistry, Advanced Practical Skills in Chemistry, and Strategies in Chemical Synthesis.
