About this course

BSc Hons in Pharmacology (Study Abroad), a pharmacology degree exploring the discovery, development, and therapeutic uses of drugs in human health. Core topics include Laboratory Techniques, Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The four-year programme includes an assessed period spent studying at an approved international partner university during the third year. The first year introduces core foundational concepts through Anatomy and Physiology, Foundations of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Science, and Introduction to Biosciences. The second year progresses into Biochemistry of Cellular Metabolism, Drug Design and Development, and Pharmacology, alongside optional modules such as Molecular Genetics. The final year culminates in an independent Biosciences Research Project alongside advanced studies like Advanced Drug Design and Development and Global Health Challenges, with further specialisation available through optional modules including Bioinformatics and Cancer Biology and Therapeutics.
