Entry requirements

A level: AAA (specific subject requirements) BTEC: We accept science-based BTECs at Distinction. Where a non-science BTEC is taken alongside A levels, your A levels must include a relevant science subject (see above). IB: 35 points overall with a higher level science subject at grade 6 or above. You must also satisfy the English and Maths GCSE or equivalent requirement.

About this course

MPsyc, BSc in Advanced Psychology, a psychology degree accredited by the British Psychological Society. Core topics include Statistics and Research Methods. The course includes the option to undertake a year abroad or a year in industry. The first year covers core subjects through Development Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Biological Psychology alongside Research Skills and Statistics. The second year progresses with Brain and Behaviour, Cognition and Perception, and Advanced Research Skills and Statistics. The third year involves a Major Project and diverse modules such as Health Psychology, Occupational Health Psychology, and Clinical Psychology: Cognitive Behavioural Formulation for Disorders. The final fourth year centers on advanced study with the MPsyc Advanced Psychology Research Project, Advanced Research Methods, and Systematic Review.
