About this course
BEng in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering (Industrial), an aerospace engineering degree focused on aircraft and spacecraft development. Students complete a four-year programme that includes a paid industrial placement year and professional accreditation from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Royal Aeronautical Society. The first year covers foundational subjects through Computers in Engineering Analysis, Design and Manufacture 1, Thermofluids 1, and Engineering Mathematics. The second year progresses to Introduction to Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Design and Manufacture 2, and Economics and Management. The final year involves an Individual Engineering Project alongside advanced studies in Aerospace Vehicle Design, Aerodynamics and Aerospace Propulsion, Aerospace Flight Mechanics, and Computational Fluid and Structural Mechanics.
