Entry requirements
A level: AAB (specific subject requirements) BTEC: Applicants declaring a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business or Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Marketing must achieve Distinction Distinction Distinction, with a minimum grade B in A-level Mathematics. IB: 35 points overall with 16 points from Higher Level subjects. Plus Mathematics can be met via Higher Level only with a grade 4. English Language can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or Higher Level English A, or a 7 at Standard Level English B, or a 6 at Higher Level English B.
About this course
BSc in Business and Intelligent Technologies, a Business and Intelligent Technologies degree integrating commercial strategy with modern computational methods. Core topics include Data Analysis, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students can apply for an optional year in industry during their studies. The first year covers core foundations through Computational Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Decision Making for Business, and Business Analytics, with optional choices such as Accounting for Managers and Introduction to Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The second year examines operational and technical practices through Optimisation and AI for Business, Managing Operations, Supply Chains and Digital Technologies, and Visualising and Analysing Data Effectively. The final year focuses on advanced concepts via Advanced Intelligent Technologies, Interpretable Machine Learning and Explainable AI, and Managing Innovation and Technology, alongside a compulsory Capstone Project in Business and Intelligent Technologies. Optional modules in the final year allow further study in areas like Advanced Finance and Strategic Management.
