Entry requirements
A level: AAA BTEC: Applicants declaring a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business or Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Marketing must achieve Distinction* Distinction Distinction (an A-level is not required). IB: 35 points overall with 17 points from Higher Level subjects. Plus Mathematics can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or a 4 at Higher Level. English Language can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or Higher Level English A, or a 7 at Standard Level English B, or a 6 at Higher Level English B.
About this course
BSc in Business Economics, an economics degree focusing on organisational economics, corporate strategy, and firm-level decision-making. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme is supported by triple accreditation and partnerships with the CQF Institute. The first year builds foundational skills through compulsory modules such as Academic, Professional and Research Skills for Studies in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics for Economics and Business 1B, and Economic Theory and Applications. The second year moves into advanced study with modules including Intermediate Microeconomics, Industrial Economics, and Statistics and Econometrics. The final year centres on independent research through the Economics Dissertation alongside the Economics of Business and Corporate Strategy. Students can also select from optional modules covering subjects such as Behavioural Economics, Environmental Economics, and Applied Econometrics, or follow specific pathways in Business Management, International Business, Enterprise and Innovation, and Ethics and Sustainability.
