Entry requirements
A level: AAA BTEC: Applicants declaring a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business or Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Marketing must achieve Distinction* Distinction Distinction (an A-level is not required). IB: 35 points overall with 17 points from Higher Level subjects. Plus Mathematics can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or a 4 at Higher Level. English Language can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or Higher Level English A, or a 7 at Standard Level English B, or a 6 at Higher Level English B.
About this course
BA in Business Management, a business and management degree centred on commercial operations, organisational strategy, and enterprise development. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Research Methods, Accounting, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Social & Cultural Analysis. Students can select optional pathways in consulting, enterprise, and analytics, and have the opportunity to undertake a year in industry or a study abroad placement. The first year introduces commercial foundations through compulsory modules such as Accounting for Managers, The Contemporary Business Environment, Organisational Behaviour, and Starting Your Own Business. The second year focuses on operational and analytical capability via modules including How Managers Make Decisions, Marketing, Management Research and Analysis, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Managing Operations, Supply Chains and Digital Technologies. The final year examines advanced strategy and leadership through compulsory study in Leadership in Organisations, Innovation in Practice for Change and Impact, and Contemporary Issues in Strategy, alongside a compulsory Dissertation/Project in Management. Optional choices across the degree allow specialisation in areas such as digital work, international markets, and business ethics, while specific modules offer the opportunity to gain professional certification.
