About this course

BEng in Chemical Engineering (Industrial), an undergraduate chemical engineering degree focused on industrial processes and technical principles. The four-year programme includes an opportunity to undertake a paid industrial placement year with major organisations such as BAE Systems, Unilever and Mercedes F1 Team. The first year introduces foundational subjects through modules such as Introductory Science, Engineering Mathematics, Mass and Energy Balances, and Materials Science and Engineering. The second year advances this knowledge via Advanced Engineering Mathematics and Numerical Methods, Chemical Engineering Practice and Process Simulation, Process Safety and Environmental Engineering, and Chemical Reaction Engineering. The final year involves comprehensive study and practical work through Process Plant Design Project, Process Optimisation and Control, Sustainability in Process Engineering, and Energy Technologies.
