About this course

BSc in Chemistry with Artificial Intelligence (International), a chemistry degree centred on the intersection of chemical science and modern technology. Core topics include Research Methods and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This four-year course includes an international year abroad and a substantial research project in the final year. The first year covers foundational principles through Introduction to Modern Chemistry, Chemistry in Action: Atoms, Molecules, Matter, Fundamental Organic Chemistry for Biology and Synthesis, and Chemistry of the Material World. The second year progresses into core study areas via Organic Chemistry: Structure, Reactions and the Science of Life, Molecules, Energy, Quanta and Change, and Chemistry of Materials: What They Are and How We Know. The third year consists of an international year abroad. The final year centres on the BSc Research Project alongside optional topics in inorganic, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry.
