Entry requirements

A level: AAA (specific subject requirements) BTEC: D*D*D with Distinctions in all Mathematics units. Mathematics units must include Further Mathematics. This unit may be optional on your BTEC but is required by the Faculty. IB: 18 points at Higher level to include 5 in HL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or 6 in HL Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation.

About this course

BSc in Computer Science, a computer science degree focusing on software engineering and systems development. Students study in the Sir William Henry Bragg Building, which houses specialist teaching facilities and high-spec Linux machines on campus. The programme offers opportunities for an industrial work placement year and study abroad periods at international institutions. Industrial placements allow students to build professional relationships with organisations such as Arm, Mercedes-Benz and Lloyds Banking Group before graduation. Extracurricular activities include a 24-hour hackathon, participation in the UKIEPC national programming competition, and engagement with the Leeds University Rocketry Association.
