Entry requirements

A level: AAA BTEC: Applicants declaring a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Business or Enterprise and Entrepreneurship or Marketing must achieve Distinction* Distinction Distinction (an A-level is not required). IB: 35 points overall with 17 points from Higher Level subjects. Plus Mathematics can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or a 4 at Higher Level. English Language can be met via a 5 at Standard Level or Higher Level English A, or a 7 at Standard Level English B, or a 6 at Higher Level English B.

About this course

BSc in Economics and Finance, an economics and accounting and finance degree centred on the intersection of economic theory and financial markets. Core topics include Statistics, Research Methods, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Human Behaviour, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The course benefits from prestigious triple accreditation and a partnership with the CQF Institute, and features access to two trading rooms. The first year covers core foundations through Introduction to Finance, Introductory Financial Accounting, Economic Theory and Applications, and Academic, Professional and Research Skills for Studies in Economics alongside optional modules. The second year progresses to Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Corporate Financial Management, and Statistics and Econometrics. The final year involves advanced theoretical study through Advanced Microeconomics and Advanced Macroeconomics, alongside the Economics Dissertation.
