About this course

BA in Environment and Business, a joint business and management and geography degree combining environmental social science with corporate practices. Core topics include Research Methods, Project Management, Entrepreneurship, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The course draws on teaching from the School of Earth and Environment, the University Business School, the Institute for Transport Studies, and the School of Law. The first year covers foundations through Introduction to Sustainability Economics, Sustainable Development, Politics and Policy, Skills for Environmental Social Science, and Introduction to Business, Environment and Corporate Responsibility. The second year progresses to Tools and Techniques for Sustainable Business, Research in the Environmental Social Sciences, Economics and Sustainability, and Personal Development for Careers in the Environmental Sector. The final year includes Change for Sustainable Development, Environmental Research Project, School and Educational Placements, and Environmental Law, culminating in an independent research project.
