About this course

BSc in Environmental Science, an environmental science degree centred on ecological, atmospheric and geological approaches to planetary systems. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Fieldwork, and Project Management. This professionally accredited programme is recognised by The Institution of Environmental Sciences and includes an independent research project in the final year. The first year covers the foundations through Fieldwork and Tutorials 1, Earth, Ecology, and Atmosphere, introducing core scientific principles. The second year progresses to Fieldwork and Tutorials 2, Environmental Measurements, Data Analysis and Visualisation, and GIS for Environmental Scientists, focusing on technical measurement and spatial tools. The third year involves advanced study and practical application through Environmental Research Project, Fieldwork and Tutorials 3, Tropical Forests and Sustainable Development, and Environmental Risk: Science, Policy and Management.
