About this course
LLB in Law (Graduate Programme), a law degree tailored for graduates from non-law backgrounds to transition into legal practice. Core topics include Legal Analysis. This accelerated two-year programme meets the academic requirements for students aiming to qualify as a barrister in England and Wales. The first year covers foundational legal principles through Contract Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Foundations of Law, Legal Skills, and PRIME: (Professions, Reflections, Identities, Motivations & Ethics). The second year advances core knowledge with Torts, Land Law, EU Law, and Law of Trusts. Optional modules allow students to focus on specialist areas such as Company Law, Competition Law, Family Law, Health Care Law, Environmental Law, Penology, Commercial Law: Domestic and International Sales, Privacy and Media Law, Cyberlaw: Law and the Regulation of the Information Society, Criminal Evidence, and Transnational and Comparative Criminology. Students may also undertake a Final Year Project.
