About this course
BA in Learning and Teaching with SEND, an education and primary education with QTS - BA (Hons) degree focusing on special educational needs and disability provision across educational settings. Core topics include Research Methods, Ethics & Professional Practice. The four-year undergraduate curriculum includes a self-directed project in the final year. The first year covers developmental foundations and inclusion through modules such as Introduction to Typical and Atypical Child Development, How Do Learners Learn, Inclusion and Special Educational Needs and Disability, and Developing Teaching Skills to Meet Learners' Needs. The second year examines educational research and perspectives via compulsory modules like Understanding Education Research and Education Perspectives and Approaches, alongside optional modules covering topics such as dyslexia, counselling skills, and mental health. The third year advances professional practice with compulsory studies in Curriculum and Assessment, and Creativity and Innovation in Professional Practice.
