About this course
BEng in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, a robotics engineering degree focusing on the integration of electronics, mechanics, and computational intelligence. Core topics include Systems Design, Circuit Design, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students can transfer to an integrated Masters degree at the end of the second year. The first year covers foundational concepts through modules such as Circuit Analysis and Design, Computational Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, Mechanics for Mechatronics and Robotics, and Introduction to Engineering Mathematics. The second year progresses with Electronic Circuit and Systems Design, Machine Learning, Power Electronics, and an Embedded Systems Project. The final year involves advanced study and practical application through modules including Assistive robotic exoskeletons, Electric Machines, Artificial Intelligence, Control Systems, and an Individual Engineering Project.
