Entry requirements

A level: AAB (specific subject requirements) BTEC: We will consider the level 3 QCF BTEC at Subsidiary Diploma level and above in combination with other qualifications. Please contact the Admissions Office for more information. IB: 35 points overall with 16 at Higher Level. If you do not already meet our GCSE Maths requirements, we will also require 5 in Standard Level Maths or 4 in Higher Level Maths (we accept both Applications and Interpretation, and Analysis and Approaches).

About this course

BA in Modern Languages and Business, a business and management and modern languages degree combining commercial acumen with linguistic fluency. Core topics include Entrepreneurship. The four-year programme includes an integrated third year spent living, studying, or working abroad in a country where the chosen language is spoken, and offers a final-year project in either business or the chosen language. The first year covers foundational concepts through Principles of International Business, Behaviour in Organisations, and Introduction to Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. The second year examines research, operations, and economic environments via Management Research and Analysis, Managing Operations, Supply Chains and Digital Technologies, and The International Economic Environment. Optional modules across various stages allow study in languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Thai, alongside subjects like Business Ethics and Managing Social Media and Digital Work.
